What was the highlight of Makani Suites
Exceptional
I dislike the word hidden gem as it feels over-used, but Makani Suites is definitely one I'd call just that; a beautiful getaway from the busy Mykonos town and its surrounding beach clubs. Situated on the east side of the island, it is about a 20-30 min drive to the main town, but this adds to the exclusiveness of these apartments. It's high-up in the mountains, and therefor you get a breathtaking view (and stunning sunset) while overlooking a big part of the island, it's hills and some of the nearby beaches and bays. The shared area of Makani is carefully designed and resembles a cozy outside spa. It's calm, quiet and has a spacious communal area with sufficient pool beds for all guests. The room was great, the bed was huge and the shower – both pressure and heat – like you'd want it at home. The staff of Makani Suites was very good in their communication, always quick in their response and very attentive with tips. We also very much appreciated that we got to enjoy the pool area a bit longer even though we checked out already.

The view from this place is unbelievable. Extremely friendly staff really enjoyed every moment here highly recommended.
Negative: We liked everything just a heads up you need a car for your comfort to be able to see the island.
